In this blog post, Olivia + Laura share the wardrobe staples you need to look like the boss of your office.

With summer internships here or fast approaching, some of us are switching from work from home to back to work. With this comes the need for new clothes and outfits that will make us look like THE boss b*tch.
Therefore, these are the wardrobe staples we think you need to allow you to dress to impress. As you are reading this, remember not to rely on basic colours and styles. Switch it up!
Trousers
Dress pants are probably the biggest MUST when you begin working a formal job because they show that you mean business. When shopping, try to buy different styles of trousers. The paper bag and palazzo pants are taking over Spring and Summer fashion and are definitely workplace friendly.
Blazer
We’ve mentioned blazers in so many blog posts because they are such a wardrobe staple! They can be worn formally or on top of jeans and, they can elevate any outfit. Definitely keep your eye on oversized blazers; those are all the rave right now.
Blouse
If you don’t have any, get yourself some blouses! And we don’t mean those boring button-down shirts (although some of them are stylish). We want you to kill it at work wearing puff-sleeve blouses and organza tops. So, use this post as inspiration for your next purchase.
Coat
Coats are an absolute must have, especially if you live in colder weather like us! When winter hits, we want to make sure our style isn't affected so we add a chic coat to our looks. It is a staple for working gals in the winter, get yourself a neutral coloured wool or trench coat to match with every look.
Suits
Suits are such a power move! Wanna feel like a boss b*itch? Invest in a suit, sis. The ultimate capsule wardrobe essential for working ladies. Mix and match the pieces to create a ton of different looks! Dress up the suit with a pair of heels or dress it down with white sneakers or mules. Sticking to neutral colours is great if you plan on mixing and matching. However, if you want to be bold and stand out, we suggest a coloured suit, talk about making a statement!
Skirt
Skirts are a great way to add some flare to your wardrobe. We suggest sticking to midi skirts to respect the office dress code, modest yet so very chic! Pair it with a blouse (another staple piece) or a plain white tee to dress it down.
Thank you for reading this week’s blog post! We hope you enjoyed reading it.
We also wanted to say good luck to all of those starting their summer internships. We, Olivia + Laura, have begun ours and we are excited to show you the looks we put together.
See you next week, loves!
